Why Format Your Poetry?
In classical Urdu literature, a Ghazal or Nazm is composed of couplets called "Ashaar" (plural of "Sher"). Each Sher consists of two lines (Misras). When reading poetry, the visual spacing between these couplets is just as important as the words themselves.
